CFT State Convention Delegate Election Results

On October 30th, an announcement for the CFT State Convention Delegate election was mailed to members of the Coast Federation of Classified Employees (CFCE), AFT Local 4794. This packet also contained nomination cards. When the nomination process was closed on November 9th, the following eligible members of CFCE were nominated to run in an election for the five (5) CFT State Convention delegate positions.

2. Jennifer La Bounty
3. Nicole Lloyd
4. Connie Marten
5. Diana Ramon
7. Anita Reninger
8. David Allen Schindler
9. Ann Nicholson (automatic delegate)

After contacting all of the nominees, the following individuals accepted their nomination:

1. Roz Campbell
2. Connie Marten
3. Diana Ramon
4. David Allen Schindler

Because there were only four nominees who accepted their nominations, the Ad Hoc Elections Committee certified the election of these individuals per Roberts Rules of Order.

We want to thank all of the members who participated in this election, particularly those who accepted their nominations. Active Participation in the CFT State Convention provides a mechanism for the voice of CFCE to be expressed at the state level. Attendance at the CFT State Convention is also a great educational experience within the labor movement.

A pre-Convention meeting of the CFCE delegates will be held after the initial convention packet is received at the CFCE local office, which should be sometime in January or February 2008.
